PHASE 1
Prototyping
Tourism Prince Rupert had undergone a rebrand a few years back, and now had a grant to get their website redesigned. But what was more important to their team was improving the flexibility of the site, for easier content management to support agile marketing .
From the get-go, this project was a dream for everyone on our side. They knew exactly what they wanted, and communicated it clearly. We built upon their existing site structure, with intuitive content buckets for experiences, activities, and exploration – and added a full local business directory and a community calendar.
PHASE 2
Style
Tourism websites are all about that authentic local photography, and Tourism Prince Rupert had an ample library of gorgeous nature photos to work with. Combined with a bold, wide heading style and oceanic background illustrations, the overall effect of exploring their content is like a breath of fresh coastal BC air.
Phase 3
Bringing it All Together
The new Tourism Prince Rupert website is a stunning showcase for the region. Visitors can easily find information about getting there, what to do, and how to best enjoy the rich culture. Meanwhile, locals can discover upcoming events and new businesses. The new WordPress CMS is extremely flexible for their team to add and edit content as their needs grow, and they’re already seeing a strong conversion rate.
