About the Company

SPI Logistics is North America’s premier transportation network, with 65+ offices across Canada and the US and still growing. Their team works hard to be the go-to freight brokerage for shipping agents, carriers, and customers, with a focus on trust and transparency.

Objectives:
  • Bring three subdomains together under one site without compromising usability for three audiences
  • Improve site architecture and user experience to enable easier browsing and content discovery
  • Drive conversion of site visitors into contacts and, ultimately, customers
  • Improve on existing SEO foundations to increase search engine traffic and drive future growth
  • Implement a fully responsive solution backed by WordPress CMS and our site builder plugin, Refoundry
PHASE 1

Prototyping

SPI Logistics had been in rapid growth for a while, and with three independent websites and a company spread across the continent, their content was falling behind. They wanted to bring everything together in one clean, well-branded, and easily managed platform.

The main challenge of this website redesign was keeping navigation clear for three equally weighted audiences. Their team emphasized the importance of keeping content simple, and encouraging users to make contact for all the fine print details.

PHASE 2

Style

SPI wanted the new site’s look and feel to be uncluttered, modern, and light. We played with a variety of geometric patterns to balance out text and photography. We also designed subtle scroll effects to give the site some movement.

Phase 3

Bringing it All Together

The new SPI Logistics site has quick, obvious paths for carriers, agents, and customers. It’s easy for users to learn about the company and establish trust, encouraging conversions. Their revamped blog gives them a great platform to boost SEO. And the site is build on our plugin, Refoundry, for maximum flexibility and control over content without needing a developer.
