Blenz needed a fresh new website to reflect their updated branding, and to help customers more easily find their way to online orders, app downloads, and perks.
Keep ReadingThe Homebuilders Initiative is a project of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of British Columbia. Its goal is to showcase and promote careers in trades, and inspire the next generation of tradespeople building communities and homes in BC.
We had worked with CHBA BC previously, when we designed and built their education website. We were excited to work with them again when they received funding to launch a promotional site for skilled trades in construction.
Since there was no existing site, the focus of this website project was to create a straightforward user experience that supported their key goals. They needed pages to generate excitement around specific careers and support digital campaigns, and a resource area for educational content.
CHBA BC was working on branding for this initiative in tandem with our information architecture and UX design phases. The new name and colours were great – we got to expand on the vibrant colours in backgrounds and accents. We implemented the fun roof and home shapes throughout the designs in unique, lively ways that tie the content with the reader’s goal of building homes.
The new Homebuilders Initiative website feels modern and impactful, which is just the right fit for their young audience. The design is clean and bright, and the sloped lines create a feeling of reaching for the sky. And because it’s built on our visual site builder plugin, Refoundry, it’s incredibly easy for their team to create landing pages for their ad campaigns, and to add new career-oriented pages.
