Equinox Gold is a BC-headquartered company specializing in gold production and mining expansion within the Americas.
Objectives:
- Simplify the overall brand aesthetic to prioritize legibility and quick access to content
- Create a clean, simple site structure that could host major amounts of content for dual audiences
- Reorganize and improve the content accessibility in the Investor Centre
- Establish gold, mining and TSX-focused SEO to drive search traffic while building on brand awareness
- Implement a fully responsive solution backed by WordPress CMS for easy content management

PHASE 1
Prototyping
With a vision of being a million-ounce gold producer, Equinox Gold required a structured, search-friendly site which would provide public, corporate and investor audiences with need-to-know information, while their team continues to focus on their seven operating mines and ever-growing production projects.
This website redesign project involved a major organization of content including critical governance details and investor information. Our focus was on being completely simplistic, with a clean presentation and uncomplicated use of space.
PHASE 2
Style
Equinox Gold likes the ‘brutalism’ look, so we integrated the company’s branded ‘Equinox Blue’ and ‘Equinox Gold’ colours with subtle variations of blue shades, to contrast the purposely simplistic grey design. Final touches included the use of hovers, which see buttons and hyperlinks animating into gold colours when moused over.
Phase 3
Bringing it All Together
The new Equinox Gold design and experience is an information hub radiating innovation in production, future-building, and corporate responsibility. Clean menus make it easy to find information, advanced resources, presentations, and downloads – all neatly divided into operational, investment, responsible mining, and news categories. This invites industry and non-industry visitors of all experience and interest levels into their vision of a more golden tomorrow.
The new site is also built entirely with our powerful WordPress site builder plugin, Refoundry, which gives their team greater control over every aspect of the new site. We also built a custom stock ticker, featuring their stylized stock symbol – an integral part of the Equinox Gold identity.
