A Filthy Lot is a Vancouver-based digital content studio that produces ‘nerd culture’ shows for YouTube.
Objectives
- Establish brand equity and online reach through branded storytelling
- Drive site conversion of users into viewers and/or sponsors
- Develop enhanced Show pages to help drive engagement, viewership and brand awareness
- Establish SEO foundations for future growth and leverage
- Engage social users and drive referral traffic via YouTube Channel
- Implement a fully responsive solution backed by the WordPress CMS

Prototyping
We were thrilled to be asked to help A Filthy Lot launch their business! This production company startup creates quirky Sci-Fi and comedy shows for YouTube, which is right up our alley.
Our goal for this project was to reflect their purpose with the web design – make it all about the stories. Their shows needed centre stage, but we also wanted to showcase their studio’s origin story. The challenge was to build a highly visual website that still loads quickly.
Phase 2
Style
A Filthy Lot had plenty of awesome videos and photography for us to work with. The goal with the design was to bring it all together in a single, cohesive experience. We used their logo and inspiration board, set the visual elements against a dramatic black background, and finished it off with modern typography for minimal text.
Phase 3
Bringing It Together
A Filthy Lot’s all-new website is a highly engaging experience from one page to the next. The visual storytelling feels young, energetic, and a little bit weird – totally on-brand for their business. The site is a solid testament to the exciting work that this startup has already produced, with straightforward paths to watch their shows or become a partner for future projects.
