About the Organization
Premium Sports has been Canada’s sales and enforcement leader for commercial sports programming since 2007. Based in New Westminster, BC they help bar and restaurant owners get the most out of sports in their locations, and to get more foot traffic to events.
Objectives
- Improve the overall aesthetic and user experience and make the site more engaging
- Create deeper content areas to build trust and credibility
- Implement a Bar Finder via robust Google Maps API integration with the WP Store Locator plugin
- Drive conversion of site visitors into contacts and, ultimately, customers
- Build on SEO foundations to increase search engine traffic and drive future growth
- Implement a fully responsive solution backed by WordPress CMS

Prototyping
Premium Sports has exclusive sales rights on the best sports programming, PPVs, and channels in Canada. They basically bridge the gap between bar owners looking for commercial licenses and the owners of those programs, while helping the owners deal with piracy. Unfortunately their old website had thin content and as a result, wasn’t ranking well.
This website redesign required a big visual lift, while also deepening content to improve search visibility. We added detail pages for each of their products, to help boost individual rankings, FAQs, and a blog area for ongoing promotion and SEO.
Style
The old Premium Sports website had short pages with black backgrounds. While this stark look can evoke power in some use cases, it just didn’t pack enough of a punch. We expanded their brand palette and designed pages with blue gradients and background patterns, using their vivid orange for key accents like CTA buttons. Fresh typography and exciting photos rounded out the redesign.
Bringing it All Together
The new Premium Sports website feels bold and exciting, but most importantly it looks highly professional. It’s easy for bar owners to see the benefit of licensing their products through the company, with the additional services they offer. The customer-centric bar finder is significantly improved. And the site is built on our low-code platform, Refoundry, so it’s easy for their team to add new products and event locations.

Refoundry is a low-code site builder plugin created by Forge and Smith’s owner, Shawn Johnston, and our team of engineers. We’ve been building all of our websites on it since late 2022. It empowers our clients with total creative freedom in WordPress, and the ability to more easily grow and scale their sites.
