Strategic Web Design
UI design is usually our clients’ favourite stage of a project—and it’s a core service that’s always included, not an add-on. You get to look at attractive designs and give feedback on colour palettes, typography, background patterns, icons, image placements and sizing, interactive components, and every other visual element of your new site’s design.
Discovery Meeting
We discuss your branding and inspiration sources, and how that can be expanded.
Style Tiles
We deliver treatments of colour, typography, and other page elements.
Page Mockups
Style tiles are applied to the UX wireframes—the first look at the fully designed site.
Strategic Guidance
We continue to advise on accessibility requirements and mobile responsiveness.
User interface (UI) design, sometimes called visual design, is a creative approach to designing a website that’s visually appealing to its intended audience, on-brand, accessible, and responsive.
A great UI design will support your messaging by subtly setting the mood, evoking the right tone and emotional reaction. A visitor feels pleased with what they see and how they engage with it, leaving with a positive impression of your company.
You don’t need a UI designer if you’re building your own website from a theme, or working on a development-only project. We don’t do either of those, so all of our projects include at least some work with a UI designer. This might include brand identity work, expanding a rebrand package to webpage mockups, doing a light visual lift of your existing brand, or translating provided mockups to our design systems.
We don’t accept design files in place of our own as a means to reduce project costs or bypass the UI stage, but we are more than happy to collaborate on the UI design stage with a branding agency.
We’re also happy to review mockups that your team has created as references, but we will still offer our experts’ advice, and create our own mockups in the format that our agency requires for development.

Our process rolls out the way it does so that your website has a powerful strategic foundation. A gorgeous website with a poor UX or lack of proper hierarchy will not perform well in the long run. That’s why we start with the sitemap, then the wireframes. It keeps the focus and feedback on these critical elements, without the distraction of content and visuals.
No. We do not use AI for any aspect of our UI design work. Our senior designers do all of their work manually within the design tool. All of the visual styles and recommendations are driven entirely by their skill and experience.
