Phase 1
Prototyping
The Teal-Jones Group can trace its forestry roots as far back as the 1860s, and has been operating in British Columbia since 1946. Their old website felt dated, and provided an overwhelming amount of information at first glance. With such a long-standing reputation and so many available products and resources, they needed a more professional website to facilitate a cleaner user experience.
Our approach to their new web design and development project was driven by their content, and creating a more usable information structure. Their research audience needs to be able to quickly find certifications and sustainability information, while architects, builders, and consumers need straightforward access to product specs and where-to-buy information. Cleaning up their navigation was an essential step to reduce information overload an improve paths to content discovery.
