Because of the large scope of course offerings we focussed on structuring the content to be easily accessible by a wide range of users with very diverse interests and goals. The previous user experience was challenging and difficult to navigate, so our main focus was ensuring the site navigation was clear, straightforward and easy to use.

Ashton College needed to bring more potential students to their vocational course offerings online. With a huge part of conveying the right message coming down to site design, we rose to the occasion with a professional, sharp colour theme set against a crisp white background.

Bringing it all together

Our WordPress developers created an on-screen presentation that easily adapted to smaller screen sizes. The solution included establishing content relationships using taxonomies in ways that would distribute and reuse content in a highly efficient way, such as staff bios that post to each course page or anywhere else that was required. The result was a web system that reached out to more people. The optimized content management system put updating content back into the hands of school administrators.

Ashton College needed a complete facelift for our online presence. Our old website had been custom built and no longer met our needs in terms of marketing ourselves to prospective students, and it did not reflect our image as a modern, professional college. We needed a website that we could keep up with us as we moved forward. Throughout the project, the things that have stood out are the small details – for example the admin panel of the website has been customized to meet our exact requirements in terms of content loading. The end result is a website which not only looks stunning, but means that we can communicate accurate and up to date content with our prospective and current students, and show off the College in a modern and professional way.
